They call this time of year the silly season on the water for a good reason. A lot of inexperienced ‘boaters’ go on the water during the holiday season, some invariably get onto trouble. Not my Guys & Gals though. We had a good week with people from different parts of the world. South Africa was represented by Leo’s group who insisted I hoist the S. African flag on the mast it drew a few comments in the pub later !

We are having good & bad weather but generally good. Fishing is patchy in places I found if we keep travelling we eventually find fish. Cod are in good supply and size as are Mackarel & Ling.

North of Blackhead Sound has deep water but fine Pollack, up here the Atlantic Swell was big all the week but worth the effort.
